Similar to the Elio Altare Barolo tasted recently this is aged in Barriques so this is a modern rendition of Barbaresco. The oak is brilliantly handled, does not intrude and gives the wine a good balance. Earthy leathery aromas with a lush fluid palate of medium intensity finishing with fine tannins. Bought in Alba in 2015. At Willos Italian night.
