This is a very complex Champagne with earthy, nutty flavors and a hint of stone fruit. I'm looking forward to enjoying another evening trying to parse out its rich flavors. — 11 years ago

Off the charts Cab Franc. When two great wine shops meet and share gems! Doesn’t get much better than this. Classic Chinon with age! — 5 years ago
The last bottle of my 2012 Vosne Romanée from Alain Hudelot Noëllat and its a wonderful show that it manage to put up. Like a grand dame in its golden years bit with a hell of a spirit its displaying evolving characters of dried strawberries, rose petals, blood orange and menthol that is backed up by a prominent choir of nutmeg, clove, truffles, wet stones and forrest floor. Fresh palate with very present but smooth tannins, an expansive palate as the encore slowly fades out in a very respectful and balanced finish.
Day 2 tasting and its pumped up, more nuanced, defined and dresses up to its teeth in elegance. The last bottle of six will leave its mark for sure. Divine! — 6 years ago

Awesome aromatics. Tighter on the palate. Bright red cherry. Red burg happiness. — 13 years ago
Looked thin and brownish when being But deep red in decanter and the glass. Relatively light but nice red fruit and virtually no tannin. — 9 months ago
Was going to get the 2016 given I generally love that vintage across much of Europe but the somm talked me into the 2015 saying it was more open. He was right - this was delicious, and still traditional and “old school” with a restrained 13.5%. Tons of pepper and dark dark fruit with some olive. Very delicious with nice medium acid and a long finish. — 4 years ago

You you ain't such a bad little burgundy — 10 years ago
Chalky and mineral infused. Nicely restrained fruit. Too young, but shows promise. — 11 years ago
Incredibly layered stuff, with teeth-staining minerality, balanced by rich fruit flavors, bordering on tropical with plenty of grilled lemon juiciness in reserve. Never-ending finish with a complex tannic grip providing lift and energy. Thru 2020, at least. — 11 years ago

Ripe pineapple, golden straw color, has some middle weight tannins but light on the finish. Green apple, pomelo pith, flint, mineral, tropical fruit. Great wine for a meal at the Arden Waikiki. — 8 months ago
