Some mature mushroom and porcini aromas on the nose, but the palate is shockingly angular, tannic and almost completely lacking in fruit. Hard, hollow and disjointed, with none of the generosity or harmony expected from the vintage or vineyard. A profoundly disappointing bottle.

Hay and strawberry on the nose. An elegant, pretty supple wine. Gained weight, and fruit as it opened. Plenty of acidity and medium length finish with smooth tannins. Perhaps lacking just a bit more in intensity to warrant a higher rating but very very delicious.
