Chalky grape and balsa, blackberry, and plum nose with soft smoke and jasmine with a sweet petrol gloss. Soft mouthfeel turns bing cherry and underripe blueberries bordering green. Chewy. Big fruit tannins. A spicy pepper that always turns piquant-fruit. Young in every way, would love to see this chrysalis emerge.

Strawberry with a little dark cherry maybe. Good balance. — 5 years ago
RRV has never been one of my favorite Zin regions, but an old vineyard like this trumps that. Even at this young age the nose is lively, with deep spicy blackberry fruit and gravelly earth notes. intense and quite structured on the palate, with full body and nice acids. I’m drinking it way too young. It will age beautifully. 9.32 right now, likely higher in a few years. — 2 years ago
Exceeded my expectations. Dosage felt high but it was a nice Champagne to open with Family on thanksgiving. — 4 years ago
13.5% ABV Salute to Lulu Peyraud of Domaine Tempier in France. Lulu’s father owned the vineyard , and she along with her husband took it over. Sadly we lost her in October 2020 at the age of 102 y/o. This is a blend of old vine Mataro and Grenache. Light salmon color, watermelon initially , later apple. Very nice! — 4 years ago
I’m a big fan of PNs from SLH and maybe see SB a second with some others but this Pali (under $20) bottling just kept on opening and ended up with a lot of sweet berries. If you don’t get Pali check them out and join their club. Great drinking whites and reds — 6 years ago
This is a tasty Napa Cabernet. Showing black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, tobacco, chocolates, mocha and coffee.
Full-bodied and smooth with soft tannins with nice length on the finish.
Good by itself or with food. Showing a nice mouthfeel with nice complexity. Spicy and tangy.
This will be beautiful in 5 years.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Beautiful garnet color with flashes of magenta. Ripe fruit on the nose with a hint of radish. Medium bodied, a little puckery and not overly sweet. Carbonic glou glou, as a reviewer said before. — 7 years ago
Beautiful caramel notes with a slight hint of honey I enjoyed every sip — 3 years ago
The 2021 Bedrock Heritage Wine is a great expression of this site. Black cherry, chocolate, spice, leather and tobacco are front and center. This dark, virile Zinfandel-based field blend packs a serious punch. There's plenty of detail and nuance behind all of that intensity. The 2021 is a big wine, but also less monolithic than some previous editions. There's a bit more whole cluster in the 2021 than in the past, so perhaps that explains the wine's nuance. The 2021 is one of the best wines I have ever tasted from the Bedrock vineyard, and I say that as someone who is not yet fully convinced of the potential here. Dense, dark fruit...mouth staining joy of a Syrah — 5 years ago
An old gewurz-dominant field blend, that comes across especially perfumed and seemingly with a pinch of residual sugar. Simple yet abundantly interesting, and between the sweetness and nice acid backbone, this was a great partner to spicy curries. I enjoy Bedrock’s rendition more than Carlisle’s. — 6 years ago
Raspberries, Cherries, Beautiful Acidity... Definitely a winner! — 7 years ago
Bright high toned red fruit, black pepper skirts around edges of petrichor and a fleshy greenness that’s very understated. — 8 years ago

Presently surprised as I never know what I’m going to get with a Bedrock wine. Very dark color to the edge, nice dark fruits throughout and nice long smooth finish. Busy evening with friends over for dinner and everyone enjoyed the wine. — 2 years ago
