A decent red, dry finish. — 9 years ago
Beautiful ruby in color with a light ruby rim. Doesn't seem to show aging at all.
Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, unripe plums, oak, vanilla, licorice, strawberries, spices, chocolates, smoke, peppermint, red candy, light vegetables, coffee, bell pepper, tobacco, earth, pencil lead, peppercorn and leather.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and tart on the palate with strawberries, raspberries, oak, licorice, spices, earth, leather, almonds, cherries, spices, bell pepper, tobacco, beef jerky and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins, black pepper and tart cherries.
This 9 year old Spanish red is still young and needs another 2 to 4 years in the bottle, but drinks well now.
Very nice by itself, with nice complexity. A great wine with food, with a nice mouthfeel and bright acidity.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly. Robert Parker gave it 94 points. I Don't know about that...

Charred meat, old, deep and rich. Not a huge wine but very, very dense. Dark chocolate. — 9 years ago
Lots of spice and cedar on the nose. It is Christmas Eve/Eve, so allow me a little leeway! A very fruit forward, spicy, delicious Pinot Noir. I must say I am pleasantly surprised at how refined this wine is. Nice tannins integrated with brilliant acidity. I really like this wine. — 10 years ago
Big decision day for a possible new home in Denver.
Trying the restaurant Rioja.

Was gifted a 2011 and loved it. Lovely medium bodied heavy berry. Don't normally drink Aust. But love this one. Superb label design as well. — 10 years ago
Deep, cherry fruit, nice balance and depth. A long, soft finish, with a hint of tannin! — 11 years ago
deep, ripe and minty on the nose, with berry power foretelling a pure, lush palate that’s packed with berry flavors and light herbal shadings. Impressive and super tasty, especially given the price of $8 at Fresh Market. — 12 years ago
Heavy for a Pinot which I like! Blissfully cherry and not watery whatsoever. — 12 years ago

Dark blueberry flavors and aromas with chocolate, leather and graphite notes. Hints of vanilla and oak. Wonderfully balanced and smooth. Proof that a fine wine gets better with time. — 8 years ago
