First time with this one. Impressive for a 6 y/o wine with tons of flavour and very soft and balanced. Enjoyed. Wish I knew Barolos better as I could be more accurate with my review/comparisons. — 7 years ago
Black cherry, plum and a hint of oak. Long velvety finish — 7 years ago
A new favorite of mine. On the rocks is so refreshing. So layered and complex on the nose and the palate. Outstanding. — 8 years ago
This utterly beautiful Auslese-style Oregon Riesling, named "Raisins" and plush as the night is long, is a remarkable American Riesling! It is sweet, but wraps the sweetness in luxe power that embraces any opulent fare. Nothing short of bravura!! — 9 years ago
A simple, yet refined blend. Goes great with grilled sea bass and shell fish. — 9 years ago

Blackberry, cherry, raspberry, currant, blueberry, oak and hints of brett. Good structure and soft tannins. — 6 years ago
A smooth drinking Chardonnay with flavors of oak, nuttiness, vanilla and pear. — 7 years ago
Good acidity, no bite, cherrys, blackberry and a little funk on the nose but not on the palette. — 7 years ago
Tasted many times. Always a pleasure. Great fruit profile, well behaved tannins. Doesn't cost a kings ransom, either. — 8 years ago
A lovely New Zealand Syrah with a lingering aftertaste which is just lovely — 9 years ago
A really good full bodied chard. Enjoy the wine with a sunset! — 9 years ago
My first Oregon cab franc. Succulent layers of deep dark fruit with a hint of barnyard funk. Slight essence of cumin and Moroccan spices. More fruit-forward than French cab francs, but this is an interesting new world interpretation. Nice use of oak makes it feel like an older vintage. 90pts — 9 years ago
This wine satisfied all the tastes and FL smoothness but an acidic tart finish... not a fan. — 6 years ago
Smoky medium@body with medium acid. tannins are medium, light enough for Thai food but also robust enough for a skirt steak. Not bad for $30 — 7 years ago
Dark chocolate overlaying a little bacon, great petite sirah — 7 years ago
This is full bodied, lots of taste, a little kick — 8 years ago
A great addition to a manhattan or just alone. Reasonably priced — 8 years ago
We had great expectations for this wine. Sadly, those expectations were not realized.
On the nose, we detected iron, tart cherries and redcurrants.
On the palette, it lacks the typical opulence we have come to expect from this producer. No plush, velvety texture. Mild root vegetables and burnt oak comes to mind. We are of the view that these grapes did not reach full maturity. Good acid structure, but the wine lacks cohesion. A good example, but not great.
We paid a king's ransom for this and Plumpjack still have our hostage. sniff... — 9 years ago

Anne-Marie rated this 92, I gave it 90, so we split the difference. Notes of guava and white melon on the nose. Delicate notes of passion fruit and honeysuckle on the palate. Inoffensive, but lacks a little character and complexity. Having said that, it doesn’t cost a king’s ransom, so, net net, it’s a buy. We purchased this on allocation, so, very pleased with the outcome
