Nice champs. Fruity n medium rich in spite of extra brut (dosage 4g/l). Nice yet not extraordinary. — 6 years ago
Last bottle, really has shed some baby fat, revealing more clarity and acidic cut behind its vibrant and rich personality. Still lots of gorgeous sweet citrus, fresh pastries, honeysuckle, chalk. Disgorged 6/2016 4g/L dosage — 7 years ago
Incredibly creamy medium body. 25/75 Pinot/Chardonnay. 4g of sugar only and 20% barrelled in oak. 13 years in Lees! Gerard calls it a meditation Champagne. Best to serve 12 deg and 15 mins in decanter necessary — 8 years ago
Dégorgement: 01/2016, Dosage: 4g/l, Another great example of real quality wine-growing, great line-up. — 8 years ago
Dégorgement: 01/2016, Dosage: 2-4g/l, Really great Meunier, quite young, but a beautifully structured style. — 8 years ago
NV Champagne of 35% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Meunier from Chamery, Ecueil, Villedommange and Montbre. 60% 2014 base wine. 4g dosage. Very nice champagne that has depth and breadth combined with great texture. A wine that excels both in dinner table as well as on it's own. Nice mix of red berries, pear, apples and bread crust. Just a lovely bubble. — 4 years ago
Elegance and power. A beautifully made wine. Striking minerality, intense stoniness. The fruit comes later: pineapple, nectarine, with saltiness and limeyness at the end. Coming from 49 year old vines, and below 4g RS. Stealing your soul! So intense. — 8 years ago
Années: 20% '11, 80% '12, Dosage: 4g/l, Decanted/Burgundy glass, took about 1.5hrs to shine, was tried beside the Savart, both such outstanding examples of true/pure RM's, there was the beautiful yogurt intensity that shone through with some air, much like the Savart, such great terroirs. — 8 years ago
Dégorgement: 12/2015, Vintage '12, Dosage 4g/l, Great structure, the whole line-up are quite young, but they're showing such beautiful expression of fruit character, great stuff. — 8 years ago
After a rather broad Ruinart bdb the last time, this was a distinct difference. Focused and driven. It strikes a delicate balance between fruit, aldehydes, and autolytic characters. Super complex and very long finish.
Note: 4g dosage. Apparently really low for Ruinart. — 8 years ago
Medium gold. Meyer lemon, peach blossom, canned peach and dried apricot, Lanolin, fresh basil, yeasty sweet vanilla on the palate. One of the best expressions of Franciacorta. 75/15/10 Chard/PN/PB. SS fermented, 20% reserve wine, 28 months on lees, 4g/L dosage. — 6 years ago
Decent wine from the rising Setubal area — 6 years ago
Totally missed the mark w this one at the blind tasting — 7 years ago
