Only a fool tries reasoning about wine when loving it is all that matters.
Wanted to see what a JS 100 point wine was like (in my price range.) It was a fine selection and very interesting and enjoyable. I recommend it to satisfy any curiosity about Don Melchor and Chilean Cabernet in general. It’s definitely sophisticated and nuanced. Enjoyed with aged NY Strip and family here in northern CT after a day of trout fishing in the Twin Lakes. 19” brown trout caught by my son will be on tomorrow’s menu. Cheers! — a month ago
Austere, reductive, bright acidity, rich without clinging oak, really beautiful expression of terroir. Gorgeous finish that lingers and delights the senses. Kistler uses the exact same clone and vinification process in every vineyard, so the difference between vineyards is the grapes and only the grapes. 2018 is an exceptional year for Dutton Ranch. Bottle #9338 of 11,150. Seductive and delicious, my friends. Cheers! — 2 months ago
No discernible imperfections to my taste. This is a stand-up triple for my fellow baseball fans. Prior notes apply. Only needs to kick up the acidity - nah, it’s perfect as it. Life is good. I hope you and your loved ones are feeling happy and healthy. Cheers! — 2 months ago
