Cuvée Anne Willamette Valley Chardonnay

Well rounded Chardonnay from the folks at Walter Scott. Precise. More lush than the ‘17.

Tried to six months ago and it was too soon. Now just starting to come into its prime - could easily cellar it for a couple more years.

Thank you, Paul. First time tasting this. Very Meursault like. Tart green apple, lemon custard, crisp acidity, some new oak.

Sesame seeds, pear/lemon, and herbs.

Very crisp and acidic. Nice sharpness. Some lime and green apple. Good tartness.

Not sure I even like domestic Chardonnay anymore.

Very pleasantly reductive and floral on the nose, with a hint of flint, delicate white flowers, lemon rind, butter almond, a touch of oaky vanilla but so well integrated that I might be wrong. Beautifully balanced and round on the palate

Loving this Oregon Chardonnay exploration. This one is fascinating. Acidity is high but there’s balance. Interestingly I get gin and tonic in the best way. Some lime, a bit of creamy honey in the background. Also some white flowers. Great with fish. After 3 hours of air some of the acidity mellows. More apple and honey come through. This is really wonderful.

Good Chard. Great for summer.

Nice balance of acid, mineral and subtle fruit. Better on day 2. Nose a bit restrained.
