#AgedWineTuesday

Deep purple in color with a short purple rim.

Strong nose of blueberries, black currants, black cherries, wood, licorice, light vanilla, spices, light vegetables, tobacco, coffee, light vinaigrette and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, blueberries, cloves, oak, tobacco leaf, vanilla, spices, espresso, vegetables, earth and peppercorn.

Medium finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a great surprise. This 16 year old Spanish red is drinking very nicely now.

Showing nice complexity with an elegant mouthfeel. Alcohol is very integrated by now, although very high.

Thank you David and Elvira for sharing this with me.

Needs 90 minutes to open up properly.

Good by itself or with food, and paired wonderfully with the Lamb chops.

Aged in New French oak barrels for 4 years.

15.5% alcohol by volume.

91 points.

$30.

Not a bad wine. No idea where or when I bought it. Some refreshing tartness. Not a high end wine, but pleasant to drink

Plum, blueberry, a touch of cedar/camphor and a very long smooth finish. This is a delicious offering in the 2004 vintage… fully mature and ready to enjoy…

Exceptional - meant for supping. Unusual combination of fruity and earthy on the palate with plum and slight fig winning out at the lingering finish. Delightful!
