Medium body, a nice straight forward Brunello. Medium nose, good tanins, balanced palate.
You expect more from a Brunello.

Medium bodied, cassis, tart cherry, cranberry, red licorice, green pepper , tobacco. Still has some tannins and could sit for a while.

Black Cherry, wild strawberry, rose water, blonde tobacco, dried sage, cracked black pepper, cedar. Elegant start, nice texture, balanced oak, focused tannins that provide a nice drying finish supported by acid that keeps giving.

Bright nose. Cherry, leather, earth. Well integrated tannin and acid. Layered with a medium plus length.

Tasted blind. Initial VA fades to granite minerality. Mushroom funk and compost too. Palate is a bit more viscous, almost sweet, with plum fruit. Tart strawberry shows too. Finishes dry with warmth.

Plucked an 8 year old Brunello in a blind taste... practice makes perfect, right?

This still needs more time. Perhaps another 2-4 years. It’s pretty big. Tobacco. Cherry.
