The wine from last night we had was the 2012 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Karia Napa Valley Chardonnay.

On the nose there is lemon, pear, vanilla, apple, celery leaf, butter and almonds.

On the palate is lemon, apple, vanilla, pralines, butter, carmelized sugar and minerality.

This is a medium bodied wine with medium + acidity and a long citrus lemon mineral finish. Not a bad wine given it's ten years of age. Probably could stand up a few more years. I hope everyone's weekend has been a good one. Let's all look forward to the week ahead with positive thoughts. Please be safe and stay healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂

Waaaaay too young. Light pale hay, smoky California oak, buttery vanilla of course, finished off with very smooth light taste, very soft and small. Although it's not the kind of Chardonnay I value, it's still pretty good. Would love to see it again in a couple of years.

The oakiest of all the chards we tried yesterday. This was nice and clean though.

This 2012 Stag's Leap Chardonnay is not as smooth and well balanced as a 2010 Grgich Hills Estate Chardonnay, but still very pleasant and refreshing none-the-less.

Biting citrus to start, fresh and light body with a slight touch of butter at the end - easy and very pleasant!
