Unexpectedly delicious chardonnay from Sicily. Big producer but this wine has impressive concentration and great mineral energy. Another wine lending credence to Sicilian terroir being no joke; and not just on Mt. Etna.
This is opulent, a little candied, with honey and green tea, a bit waxy, with a formidable texture and lot of intrigue on the palate. Has the signature textural density and minerality that Italian whites can display in particular. Prominent oak but it works overall; this is a very impressive wine that should benefit from some cellar time, though it’s drinking well now.

2019 Vintage. Already coming to age but with tropical fruits (pineapple, banana and mango) wood and acidity it developed quite well.

Never disappoints! Tropical fruit, ripe apples. Nice fresh yet salty acidity.
