J. Lohr Winery Estates Riverstone Arroyo Seco Chardonnay 2015 Monterey, California 87

Dark golden in color.

Fruity on the nose with citrus, oranges, vanilla, oak, over ripen lemons, white pepper, spices, Jasmin, tropical fruits, kiwi, pineapples and white peaches.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with over ripen citrus fruits, lemons, oak, cream, alcohol, vanilla and spices.

Medium on the finish with spices and limes.

This 3 year old Chardonnay from California is still drinking nicely, but was probably better last year. Oaky and creamy.

A very nice wine when properly chilled, and the oak and vanilla are not too overwhelming.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

87 Points.

$14.

Kristen Barnhisel- Fresh and balanced – not your ordinary Chardonnay! Inviting nose of peaches, yellow floral, and baking spices follow through with fresh citrus, crème brulee, and hint of oak on the long finish

Straw, cream and butter initially, low acidity on the finish. Very easy drinking with a clean close.

Loving the butter and slight oak. Pineapple notes a bit heavy but nice compliments with salty shellfish
