Can confirm these observations of a friend - just so darn satisfying with pizza magherita. Notes-wise, I reckon JR got it spot on, so here it is, “With exuberant aromas this wine is stunning right out of the glass. The nose is full of rhubarb, rose hips, cracked pink peppercorn and even zesty orange peel, all mixed through with an earthy accent. The palate is mouth-watering and fresh with modest tannin, a velvety mouthfeel and a long finish. Intriguing, distinctive and deceptively easy to drink. Enjoyable”.

Very light, both in color and body. Bright red fruits, spice, herbs, dried leaves. Definitely more on the earthy side than the fruity side, which is not a bad thing in and of itself. However, I think I was expecting those cherries and cranberries to shine more. 100% Pelaverga. 1/18/23.
