Last β€˜16, still tasting well. Family-owned and operated since 1985. Grapes sourced from several vineyards, complex aromas of fruits, citrus & sweet spice. On the palate ripe fruits, apple, pear and peach with lemon citrus and vanilla adding toasty oak. French oak aging, great balance, lingering ending with toasty oak finish. I continue to have this wine as a staple in my cellar for a number of years. Enjoy! Great value, compared to Chards costing more!

Fattened up w/a few years, distinctive greenish hue and coincidentally lime & kiwi on nose along with spicy toasty oak. Vanillin, butterscotch, honey, & citrus notes w/hints of tropical fruit. Complex, this was fleshy & broad across the palate w/sturdy acidic backbone running through. Very enjoyable (on close out pricing $16)

Per color I thought oak πŸ™„ but actually it is there and provides a nice balance..vanilla pudding. Fruit sourced from several Vineyards adding complexity.
I am getting orchard fruits, tropical fruits, mild petrol (lemon oil) especially on the finish which adds an unusual quality and minerals!
WE vintage chart...92 can drink but not yet at peak. Peeps..I use this as a very soft guide.

I agree with the wine maker’s notes: The 2016 Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay from Sonoma County has superior lots of wine from our vineyards in Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Russian River Valley and Carneros. This full-bodied yet refreshing Char- donnay boasts aromas of lemon, pear, green apple, orange blossom, lychee and peach perfectly balanced by flavors of Meyer lemon, vanilla and graham cracker with a floral finish.
