Originally tasted at Lambertville Station. Liked it so much I had to buy a case. We love cab francs and this is an excellent example from Argentina. Once opened, lots of tarry notes with mocha and that classic cab franc pepper on the back.

Interesting Cab Franc from Mendoza, not a region that is typically known for single varietal Cabernet Franc. On the nose there is red fruit but not much else, on the palette there is red fruit, dark cherry specifically, nice tannic backbone, and a pleasant spice characteristic. This isn’t a bad wine, it just seems like it is missing something. Fed in to the hype, wasn’t rewarded.

The 15’ pretty much remains pretty much the same as the one I tasted about a year ago. Lovely red fruits, silky texture. Feels a bit more rustic in this bottle. Appreciate the gentle 13.5% abv.

Fruit forward, vibrant red fruit with very well integrated tannins that gave it really nice structure.

Nice little wine - well made / balanced bright beam of ripe black cherry w/pepper accents, hint of herbaceous but this was a fruit driven offering meant for intl consumption... medium weight & grip, smooth suave just a bit simplistic for me
