Founded in 1980, Winery is a partnership between Chalone Wine Group and Paragon Vineyard, defining the Central Coast appellation for which it is named, and appellation's first producer of estate-grown Chardonnay. Aromas of crisp fruit with scents of citrus and floral. On the palate apple and peach flavors with sweet citrus notes and tangy acidity. Lingering finish ending with a slight creamy texture. Nice value. Tasting Sample.

Pale gold color. Subtle apricot, quince, grass, and pineapple. Tiniest hint of spice. Medium body mouthfeel. Bright acidity with a silky finish. Soft, easygoing Chardonnay from California.

Pleasantly oaky. Great with paella. Enjoyed in Palo Alto.

Great flavors of apricot and quince. Noted some notes of cinnamon (which I love) and clove. Bright acidity and good choice for fish and pasta marriage

Tall grass. Very simple, lacking complexity but easy to drink. Enough butter tones to even out the acidity. Would buy again.

The wife LOVED it. Peachy, fresh and crisp with a lovely creamy finish. Dry on the tongue (too dry for me, but I like sweet wine). Definitely worth a try if you’re a Chardonnay fab.
