Pale lemon with fresh fruit aromas of stone and citrus fruits with some floral nutty notes. On the palate flavors of apple, lime citrus and pear, crisp acidity, with honeysuckle notes. Medium+ finish, notes of creamy vanilla ending with smoky and flinty citrus mineral earthy spice character.

Another 4th Friday for the books, and one of the best of the year!

Acidic! Tart stone fruit and honeyed mango; lengthy finish of pineapple; the nose alone is steely and young fruit driven. This will obviously improve with time.

From the fabulous Leflaive, creamy, buttery with beautiful notes of buttered brioche, vanilla, tropical fruits and a touch of pineapple

I loved the '10 and '12 of this wine and thus expected more from '14. I think it's mostly shut down, but maybe the bottle was off too. Very blunt and one dimensional. @Andrew Mecoli humorously observed that it smelled like too many a boring Italian white...

Everything was harmoniously put together in this beautiful bottle of wine. The nose had that real sense of place - wild flowers, wet streambed pebbles, golden apples (sounds like an apple pie cooling in the window on a spring day in Mâcon, warmth of sun with the cool breeze mixing enticing aromas around). The pallet was elegantly designed, exhibiting notes of vanilla créme, white peach, chalk mineral, star anise, and a light touch of toasted hazelnut to the finish. Now that I've seen their "baseline effort", I'm sure I'd be in heaven with their GC.

Lovely lemon and tangerine nose with light mint and tarragon. Peachy entry, with big acid behind the round ruby grapefruit. Different wine than expected, but cutting through some big reds.
