Delectable - this is the Faiveley Corton Clos de Cortons. Again, bright ruby in colour. Not as vibrant and fruit pure as the Meo. High percentage of whole bunch. A little astringent at the finish. From Magnum with 1 bottle coravined off.

Beautiful wine. It’s got a bit more mineral than I expected but so many layers that you could just sip it all day. Butter, lemon, smoke and honey, with acacia blossom and powerful acidity. Definitely a show stopper.

Loud and clear, oaky and stuck up. Very early to make any conclusions, but this seems to be a very very bright and promising vintage for Faiveley's Charlemagne. Bold, powerful, flying wine. Time will tell but so far I'm very happy with how it's showing.
