Sonoma County Pinot Noir

Classic pinot nose. Light, bright in the glass. Raspberry with nice acids.

The winery is hidden amid the redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Bright ruby with complex red and black fruit aromas and pepper spice. The palate shows cherry, raspberry and red plums with generous hit of spices, pepper, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish develops some toasty notes, minerality on full round tannins, well balanced with a smooth ending. A good value.

Good. Not great. But good. A Catalan finds it similar to Priorat and he loves it.

Kicking off the 40th in good style.

I just love this wine.

Cranberry coloration. On the nose, dark cherry, tobacco and florals. On the palate, very light, cherry and vanilla are present. Not my favorite. Not much depth of flavor and too light for my preference. Tastes watered down.

Very classic California Pinot. Fruit forward with an earthy finish. Not as full flavored or complex as I like.

Always solid, this wine was tight at first and opened up nicely by the final glass.

Somewhat tasteless, so good
