Lecinquevigne Barolo Nebbiolo

Brett. Very advanced. Some fruit remaining. Pretty tired

Young young YOUNG!!!!!!
Lots of red fruits. Leather and roses. Hints of chocalat an mokka coffee.

Needs a few more years to age but already showing nicely. Very very structured wine. Decadent perfume. Paired with gnocchi alla sorrentina. Nice ending to Rome trip.

Blend of five vineyards. True old world Barolo, on the tame side. Earthy goodness .

ever so pretty on the nose right out of the bottle- violet, dried red cherry, new leather barely hinting of tar. Day 2- a little more tar, woodsy..pine? eucalyptus? still with dried red fruit. silky entry, tannins come early and acid pulls it all out long. gorgeous.

Pale, ruby colour.
Medium (+) intense aromas of red delicious apples (flesh and peel).
Palate is dry, high acid, high tannin, high alcohol (14.5% abv), medium (+) body. Flavours of red fruit, red apples, and a hint of barnyard. Lacking in complexity and notes typical for a barolo.
Medium finish.
Inexpensive for a barolo, but not a prime example.

Perfect match with the bucatini. Food pairing probably improved the score but very good either way.

It's young, but I didn't want to wait a few years more. But who knows? Dominant aromas: a rose, a cherry, a leather. High acidity, strong tannins. Medium finish with a pepper.

Really coming of age nicely.

Sour cherries and rose petals. Will develop well for many years.
