Initial impression is of dark red fruit a little bit of sulfuric green vegetable on the nose. Initial taste is almost a honey sweetness because of the viscosity in mouth coding texture of the wine. Definitely stewed fruit definitely ripe baked fruits with winter spices.

A little more age now on the 2016. Dark chocolate, black cherry fruit, smokiness, very hefty. A good deal of game and funk, somewhat untamed.

Absolutely delicious. I know Merlot heavy winds don’t get much love but this was a showcase and what it can be. Rich and hearty and meaty, with delicate structure and delicious warm and cool fruit flavors.

We normally dont like wines that are over extracted and too powerful. This one is a good surprise. Very rich and dense but with some balance and freshness. We’ll see how it ages. Really nice surprise.

Andreas Larsson: and spot on - a wine and a style that can’t be put into any category - this intensity, decadence, perfume, structure and length is simply mind blowing”...“Slightly more red fruit, rose, violet, raspberry, sexy with a meaty spiciness. Very dense palate, finely grained with sweet raspberry, ginger, clove, seamless tannins, intense flavours and a sexy texture and a very long, suave and delicate finish. Excellent. 98pts”
A lucky score @ garagiste. Merci

Lots more oak and complexity. But with only 3 years of age the different parts are disconnected. Potential to age

This lovely 2016 blend from the region has a regal, purple darkness right out of the bottle. The nose is lovely fruit that enters with sharp tannins and a hint of current that should mellow with time. The finish is short but pleasant. Easily drinkable today, but will be better as it ages. I would buy this again.
