At a tasting where a number of very expensive Bordeaux were being shown, this 2nd wine was the best showing one. Beautifully deep flavors of cassis, tobacco, forest mushroom, and roasted chestnut. Fine tannin-to-acid balance. This is drinkable now but will hang out for several years in the cellar.

Big and deep body, fruit, tannins, oak. Vanilla aftertaste on tongue.

Still pretty young looking thin light pink rim, ruby red colour . Very classic nose , showing development cedar , cigar box, coffee and some blackcurrant undertones. More cassis on the palate , tobacco and coffee also , quite angular tannin and slightly strict acidity . Reasonable length , and all considered a pretty good second wine from a pretty average vintage . Enjoyable now and the tannin perhaps will never resolve completely , I see little point in further cellaring , it is in a nice place .
