Calistoga Zinfandel

Deep crimson with a purple accents and a wide brim. Cocoa, blackberries, and menthol on the nose. Love it or hate it, we all know what California Zinfandel has been for a while now. This is far more rustic and lighter than a lot of other Zins out there right now. Definitely not overripe and highly extracted. Silky smooth texture, wonderful balance, and it resists the urge to develop into a fruit bomb. Plenty of earth and blue fruits on the palate to go along with cedar, smoke, and floral notes. Medium to long finish with spice.

They didn’t rest on their laurels after the Judgement of Paris! Chateau Montelena’s Calistoga Zinfandel is overloaded with notes of Red Cherries with an aged bourbon finish. Light bodied, garnet red with minimal tannins, excellent alone or with a bit of truffle salted mozzarella.

Rich dark berry aroma. Soft tannins, rich berry notes. Delicate

A great, balanced, but expensive Zin

I thought I didn't care for Zinfandel but this wine has made me curious and I'm willing to explore more. This wine is still available and I recommend you buy. Marvelous mouth feel🍷🍷🍷Enjoy!

An excellent balance of plum and some berries with a subtle streak of vanilla through it. Like some other reviewers I thought this was a more delicate and restrained example of Zinfandel- and I loved it! It's one of the best wines I've had lately and probably the best Zinfandel I've ever had
