Probably one of the better Bordeaux 2012 I tasted to date. I still think that this vintage was not priced correctly and should have been priced more like the 2008 vintage#.
Cos is known for its power and this one is no different, with a deep dark purple color, an expressive nose of vanilla, smoked cedar wood, black berries, coffee, and chocolate, a full body that is still very tight, firm tannins that need time, lots of time and a long dry finish. A crime to drink now;-) my score 92, drink 2018-2031

Decant of 6 hours but this still needed time in the glass to slowly evolve. At the start saline and soy sauce that gave way to dark fruits. At 10 years old this is still a baby that will develop but already so much to enjoy.

2 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). An Irresistible dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: black fruit, cassis, cedar, smoke, cigar, vanilla. Taste: A smooth, creamy, refined wine with black cherry, tobacco, that COS spice, graphite, little plum, gravel, and a mineral cedar medium plus dry moderate tannic kick finish....give it just a few more years...has potential.

A bit tight and closed in first sips, needs at least one hour to breath. Powerful and concentrated nose, strong mouthfeel with still young and sharp tannins, but a some finesse on the finish also.

Wind swept olive orchard permeates the nose. Black fruit and olive tapenade drive the palate with some underlying earth tones. At 8 years old , it’s starting to show its colors. Medium acidity with a hint of tannins.
