Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend

Red plum juice, pomegranate, dried cranberry, roasted red bell peppers. Herbs and vanilla. Soft and smooth and creamy. Clayey tannins - very grippy coating the mouth.

Yum! 2005 vintage. Still got some time to grow. Tannins still a hint pushy, but everything else in place. Spice, currants, bit of pencil lead, hint of tobacco and nice acid.

Very different from the 11 d'Armailhac very red fruit dominate strawberries for days!

Fantastic smooth red wine

Guessed Brunello blind. Drinking incredibly well. Fruit is still abundant and ripe for its age. A lot of grip and body left. A pleasant surprise for sure.

Feb 2018: mild tannin, nice smell and round. Dry wine. Delicious!
