Château Canon-la-Gaffelière
Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend
Great 2004 Saint Emilion. Surprise by how soft the tannins were with great tobacco notes. Fruity yet not overly ripe or jammy, very approachable, probably still have a good 10 years ahead of live, but perfect for enjoyment now. No need to decant.

Aug 27th, 2017Ok, who brought a #Bordeaux to a #Burgundy tasting? Hey, this 2004 is much better than the vintage suggests. Close to peak with plenty of body and fruit.
