Super clean magnum. Sooo delicious and lots of life ahead. Very big and open, black, red, blue fruit all in harmony. One of the better bottles of this I've had.

Very pretty for its age, with more red fruit and softer tannins than the '90 St Emilion in the other decanter.

Sweet black cherry, blueberry, dark chocolate, leather, smoke. Powerful with an almost port-like quality, though without the heat.

1990 vintage. Port-like entry flavors. Brickish. Tired and on the wrong side of the bell curve by approximately 10-12 years. Still instructive tho.

Not Mourvèdre, but a random bonus pour. Dried herbs, red and black pepper, dried rose petals, rose hips and dried red fruit. Enjoyed it too much to note more. One of the best right bank wines I’ve had in recent memory.
