My first #beaujolaisvillages - once it warms up from cold to cool, smells of distant cherry pie with faint baking spices, keen acidity in the palate, a delicate frame around muted oak and soft tannins against a quick finish. When drank too cold it still paired really nicely on a sweltering Texas summer afternoon with grilled cheese burgers.
