Savory and bright energy, crisp aromatics and flavors. Quite wooden and wonderfully so. If I were blinded on this and I wasn’t being sharp, I might just called this white burgundy. The nuance of tropical florals and fruit twang is there, but well integrated into the wood spice and the amazing texture. Long and regal. — 7 years ago
Fresh green pepper and succulent ripe blackberry on the nose. Balsamicky goodness, makes you think it should be super thick in consistency but it carries a light delicate mouthful. Yummy yummy. Pour this over your salad, your pork chop, in your bath, any place that needs the soft spots marinated. Likey, likey. — 8 years ago
Call me crazy, but this smelled like carrots pulled from cold wet earth and the inside of an old wooden ship in the best possible way. 😍 Tasted like red fruits but also with some rhubarb. Mmmmmm. — 9 years ago
Very dry, wooden, earthy with coffee reverberations on the palate. Dark purple. A very nice Croatian wine. — 9 years ago
Great northern flavor — 6 years ago
Had a wooden feel to it, is how I would describe it...think I prefer the other George...J thinks should age some more — 7 years ago
90% carmenere, 10% cabernet sauvignon
Wooden aroma. Aftertaste of Cabernet sauvignon, drank it too cold :-( — 8 years ago
Aromatic fruit. Licorice with wooden flavor after decanting. — 8 years ago
Wonderfully pungent floral nose, bit like strolling into a garden center, geraniums and fresh soil but then also very rich notes of black cherry compote and dark mint chocolate. There's also something there that reminds me of walking into a big old church, incense and old wooden benches. Lots going on here, may not be to everyone's taste but showing great complexity. Love it!
Completely rounded palate, silly mouthfeel with inky black fruit and a savoury finish, very alive and pure.

Fermented in concrete tanks & large wooden vats, aged for 9 months. Sumptuous Syrah, sometimes overlooked, offering with aromas of fresh sweet berry fruits and hints of floral and pepper spice. On the palate lively blackberry and cherry flavors with black pepper, great mouthfeel. Soft tannins, lingering youthful finish carrying the fruit to the ending. Great value. — 7 years ago
Color : Red
Wine estate : Tenuta San Guido
Designation : Bolgheri
Name : Sassicaia
Country : Italy
Vivino : 5/5
Note : Opening of this Magnum 2002 that had not moved from its individual wooden case in special. Always so many emotions to take out such a wine and please the family. Perfect time to open it and we are on a silky red robe blood with shards garnet. The typical nose of Sassicaia with flavors of black fruits, pepper, copper and cigar. Once in the mouth, the aromas explode and the final is long, greedy, structured and elegant. Excellent.

Excellent.

Who doesn't like a juicy Syrah?! Deep and bright plumb in color. Tastes of ripe plumb, black peppercorn, and black olive with leather, spice, dry dusty earth, and wooden field log. Medium bodied with ample tannins. — 9 years ago
Complex and rich. Lots of – very macerated – autochthonous flowers and some smokiness. The 'promised' wooden and chocolate traces were mostly gone, but that's not unusual in a 12-year wine. All in all, a pretty good buy. — 9 years ago
"Odedi"
Dark ruby in color with a reddish rim.
Fruity nose with blackberries, blueberries, blackcurrants, cooked cherries, oak, light vanilla, spices, licorice, light tobacco, coffee, chocolates and black pepper.
Full-bodied with medium acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate with black currants, blackberries, sweet cherries, plums, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth and peppercorn.
Spicy finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very enjoyable Cabernet Franc from Loire, France. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel and mild complexity.
Would benefit from another few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already very enjoyable.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 30 minutes of airtime. After an hour of airtime tannins come out.
Good by itself or with food. A nice sipping wine. I gave it a slight chill and paired it with cheeses and olives by the pool. Very tasty.
100% Cabernet Franc grapes aged in wooden amphoras for 11 months.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
