Winnica Silesian, Patataj 2020, pet nat (weisser and roter riesling).
Orange wine made in a pet nat style. Hipster wine from Poland... which I actually quite like ! Some bready, yeasty notes on the nose (brioche) along with apricot, peche, honey, there is also a tiny almost meaty, umami, salty touch too. The palate shows little fuzziness (the wine is 5 year-old), nice apricot, peachy honey notes, good width and a stong acid drive. There is also that salty, meaty touch that adds a bit of complexity. The finish is fresh and fruity, with also that salty note that carries on. It's really well made and super delicious. I would have loved a stronger fizziness. — 5 months ago
My good friend Kate & Matthew gifted me this Polish sparkling wine while visiting Poland 🇵🇱. Kate believes I inspired her to pursue wine industry; she has become a Level-3 sommelier and is very successful. Thank you 🙏!!! — 9 months ago
Wroclaw meal for Jess' bday. Really peach - LOVED — 11 days ago
Lots of body and some oak with a lot of citrus. The citrus is great when just having a glass but is almost overpowering the oak when paired with a charcuterie platter of rich meat and cheese. — a month ago
5 years on for this southern Frenchie. GSM. Dark color. Looks like black cherry skins. Smells floral with hints of spice box. The spices of autumn. Violets and bearded Iris are the flowers. Hint of dark plum candy (not candied, but a hard candy). Flavors are dusted truffles and cherry Black Forest cake. Dry and just a touch bittersweet. Makes the grade for southern French red. Has a sun-baked background and some deep, dense flavors that can hold up a bit long than the five years it’s been around I’m sure. Label says clay, limestone soils. They come through. This is a nice drinking wine from the massive Gérard Bertrand portfolio. — 5 months ago
Sep 2025. Drinks as a very good Mosel Riesling, in blind tasting would bet on Mosel — 18 days ago
Second take on this one because I really enjoyed it the first time and we even went back to buy a couple of bottles to bring back home. Previous notes stand and we had it with food this time around and it works super well with white meat cooked on the grill and light summer veggie and salad dishes. Last evening in the Polish mountains. We will come back. — 2 months ago

Very unusual for a Riesling. Lots of minerality with some grapefruit and crisp pear. — a month ago
