Name not totally matched. Enjoyed this bottle lakeside with some crab legs - summer tradition. (Shared wedding memories my trip north with Kate) — 8 years ago
Smooth, smooth! Yum. Fruit forward, chocolate, viscous. At the lake w/ Wilson's, Kaia and Tim F. — 8 years ago
Lovely lakeside 2015 with friends who brought this over from France. — 5 years ago
Candied pear, aromas of a lakeside cottage, cedar, honey, and rosemary.
Bae loved this one right away and told me I wouldn’t like it (I’m guessing because of the sweetness), but upon first sip, I actually really appreciated this old world style of elements working in harmony with each other.
Sweetness balanced with acidity, slight bubbles, a freshness that doesn’t end with that unctuous note that can sometimes be off putting in wines like this, and a nice effervescence.
Very well rounded, one to one linearity between bouquet and tasting.really enjoyable drinking experience. — 5 years ago
Yum yum yum.
Dolcetto and Pinot Nero. Lakeside at Lago di Como — 6 years ago
Everywhere I turn Armagnac seems to be a hot topic. This might say more about those with whom I mix than anything else. Nevertheless it does seem that Armagnac is becoming a thing.
I was inspired to taste this particular bottle following Jason Wilson's glowing review in the extraordinary and comprehensive coverage of the Armagnac in Vinous those week. It did not disappoint.
Endlessly complex, intense, cerebral almost. This is the most nuanced spirit I've tasted. A gem. No wonder this category of brandy is becoming hot stuff. I don't even the most celebrated of whisky (or whiskey) is capable of such heights. — 7 years ago

Excellent! Aged 8 years. Vanilla, cherries, smells like pepper. Dark chocolate. Lingers on the palate. At the lake w/ Wilson's, Bo & K, K&J, & Tim F. — 8 years ago
Black cherries, almost slightly sweet, soft on the finish. Smooth. At the lake w/ Wilson's & Kaia. Yum! — 8 years ago
It’s the end of summer, I’m sitting by the campfire at a lakeside campground (I wish), roasting marshmallows, and munching on a Hot Dog (why does Apple cap that?). My friends are telling horror stories about Caroline Calloway and Anna Sorokin but we drown our fears in this delicious and fruity wine (which I personally think has a smoky undertone but that may just be from the campfire). This is the dream this bottle has given me.
In truth I’m just at the office (privileged to be drinking wine, of course) and have just consumed a lot of coffee which may be throwing that “smoky undertone” off. Still delicious, recommend. — 6 years ago
Solid warm weather lakeside selection. — 7 years ago
Tasted at Ruffian, a Mecca for Godforsaken Grapes, at the launch of Jason Wilson's new book. Apparently this isn't a Cab Franc but something much more unusual. Think Cab Franc done and you're pretty much there though. Bright red fruits, touch of earth and wet leaves, plenty of acidity. Tastes hipster to me. — 8 years ago
Very, very smooth. Great with dark chocolate. Nice for after dinner sipping. At the lake with Wilson's & Tim F. — 8 years ago
