I had this a few years ago at the winery when I bought it. It was really good.
After being aged I had two thoughts: 1) how is this Canadian? 2) why is this so good? — 6 years ago
Really enjoyed this. Some oak but not disgusting (subjective) like california chard. Almost a wild yeast sense to it but mostly pineapple and some citrus. 30 canadian. Maybe a bit high but reasonable value — 5 years ago
Floral. Fantastic. Light and a hint of fruit. — 9 years ago

Westcott Vineyards Butlers' Grant Cabernet Franc 2020, Canada
Reddish in color with medium intensity.
Strong nose of red fruits with light wood, spices, herbs, earth, light vegetables and black pepper.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blueberries, currants, plums, fresh cherries, light oak, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn, earth and mediterranean spices.
Medium length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy pomegranates.
This 6 year old Canadian Cabernet Franc feels extremely fresh and engaging. Fruit forward, elegant and complex.
This Single Vineyard Cabernet Franc is good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime. Really enjoyed the nose once it opened up.
Peaking now, and will not get much better from this point on.
A small production of only 1,200 bottles.
13% alcohol by volume.
90 points.
