"Sunny mountain." From the lower Ahr with a high proportion of loess giving an easygoing charm. The barrique really stands out against the slender frame of the wine, giving lots of cedar and spice. Hopefully that will integrate better with time. — 8 years ago

Always love these reds by HF. Whites are truly lightning rods but the reds are just as nuanced with laser beam acids. Always feel guilty about drinking these wines because HF, which I believe initially started in 1989 have no back vintages. I would love to find some older HF wines though — 7 years ago
Amazing Riesling from the year my fiancée was born. We had this with dessert at The French Laundry. — 8 years ago

GG. Tons of structure, even for a GG. From 1200 year-old vineyard. Needs 3 more years. — 9 years ago

Prima, aber im Vergleich zu Dollt oder Faubel oder Hexamer nicht ganz so rieslingtypisch, sondern eher rustikaler. — 7 years ago

Holy hell, this is straight diesel with a good candied orange finish. Carbonization of citrus juice. Finish Like a perfect daiquiri at 7.5%. Philippe petit wine. Be back for more, but this is great juice. — 5 years ago
