I like how this cool 2016 vintage evolves, with shy apricot, steely lemons and a bit of honey und the background, getting a bit more pronounced with time. This has great precision and some weight on the palate, w/o losing the juicy acidity and sharp minerality... as I drink this over time from one bottle to another, it just keeps getting better & better.
Happy that I still have a quite a few bottles left. — 6 years ago
Nice wine. Fruity, just off dry. Would get it again. — 8 years ago
Awesome. Like licking a rock then biting a crisp green apple and ripe pear. The bubbles are vicious at first but settle quickly — 9 years ago

Schatzi Milan ny. 12% abv. Rheingau. VDP. Tricken. Citrus rind. Tart and round sweetness in the back. Hint of bitterness which is just enough for me. Very acidic but it works. Highly recommend for the price! — 5 years ago
Now in a line up with Rebholz 15‘s and Schäfer Fröhlich 16’s this guy struggles. It needs some age and is currently in it’s dumb phase. More linear and less fruit than last time when I tried the wine. Elegant steely and light. Lime wintergreen and chalk. — 7 years ago
Definitely some magic packed in to this. Young and tight but opens with some air. Better in 1-2years but enjoyable already. Melon, ripe orange and lime notes. Nice acidity. Balanced considering the year if tad on the generous side — 8 years ago

Powerful. Rich. Brilliant acidity. Just the balance you want. Orange peel, honey, rosemary, stone, blood orange. — 9 years ago
Very sweet, acidic, with green banana and petrol notes, plus a funky basement smell and flavor. — 9 years ago
