Trying to make up for not making it to the kafer tent this year. Drinking with wiesnhendl tonight. @Christian W. Liedtke — 7 years ago
This changed a few times over the course of 90 minutes. Eventually resulting in a very delicately perfumed wine with lime, white flowers, nectarine, and petrol. Medium acidity. Lighter texture on the palate. Great value, $65 on list — 7 years ago
Apple, crisp, and clean.

Honey, peaches, kind of like a complex fruit cup syrup mixed with pure gold. These wines are always so sensual. — 5 years ago
A shockingly clean and dry Riesling with subtle skittles-like aroma. Significantly more enjoyable on day 2 (a decanter not available to me). I am far from an expert on this stuff but I would imagine some more years under the belt might help this yield more? Acid for days but not aggressive. Just tightly wound. A fascinating encounter. — 7 years ago
Now in a line up with Rebholz 15‘s and Schäfer Fröhlich 16’s this guy struggles. It needs some age and is currently in it’s dumb phase. More linear and less fruit than last time when I tried the wine. Elegant steely and light. Lime wintergreen and chalk. — 7 years ago
Gravelly, bright and clean. — 8 years ago
Licorice nose and incredibly fragrant medium body. Hints of rose — 8 years ago
Trocken version. Acid is at the fore, but well evolved and delightful with many years to go. — 5 years ago
Pear, unripe guava, cactus, green minerality. — 5 years ago
Nose is herbal and gorgeous with huge minerality. Lovely sugar snap peas, some C.K. Some confectionary aromas and just a beguiling whirlwind of so many non fruit aromas it’s hard to pinpoint them. A feral element as well but is so clean, so pure. It smells like the cleanest nature scene you can imagine. Yes it smells like a Bob Ross painting. Juicy and very complex with just a waterfall washing feeling across the palate. The balance of the fruit, minerals, acid and texture is extraordinary. Such delineation and grace. Stunning wine. — 7 years ago
Lovely wine, very enjoyable. I’ve run out of adjectives. Fokken lekker wyn, ja nee — 8 years ago
Saturated gold with orange notes; ripe pear, papaya, pineapple, cinnamon and cardamom, honey, v trace rubber and slight oxidation; unctuous and perfectly balanced med sweet, tingly acid, integrated alcohol to back it up (11.5%). Perched between young and old, bright and contemplative. — 9 years ago

Delicious dry Riesling, pale gold in colour, great acidic core, powerful and powdery mouthfeel. Slate, citrus, white peaches and a touch of spun sugar.
Gorgeous. — 5 years ago
