Plumsand some menthol-eucalyptus on the nose. Pretty big and intense. Beautiful fruit, tannic but not out of whack. Such a good wine. This could sit for a few more years, but given the inconsistency of my cellar, i didnt want to wait. Had it with a grilled, dry- aged NY Strip. Oh my.... — 6 years ago
Nose is cedar, herb, and leather. Medium body. Raspberry, red currant, and dark chocolate with really nice tannin throughout. Long finish is currant and cranberry. This wine is delicate. Overpowered by aged Gouda. Drink with Brie and French bread.
I pulled a classic and was just a bit disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, still great, but for the anticipation... I have one more bottle that I’ll wait a long time and hope there’s a big payoff.
Interesting note, the 2013 Heitz Cellar in the background was remarkably similar in fruit, weight, and profile. 1/3 the price and I’m giving it a 92. — 7 years ago

Winebid had some 2012 last week, got a couple bottles. Was great when it was first released, can’t wait to taste now with a couple years on itStrong colour for this 2007 and very powerful for this vintage at St Julien, smoked notes on the nose spicy and red fruit. Powerfully Wine better if you wait 2 or 3 years more. — 9 years ago
Really, really nice. Decanted for 1.5 hours and this guy is ready to go. Definitely a touch more fruit forward than expected, but still an excellent core of acidity that keeps it super lively. Very silky tannins at this point, no point to wait longer but also not at all over the hill. — 10 years ago
Worth the wait. High alcohol is my only con. Very enjoyable at home with Lucia salumi. — 6 years ago

This wine amazed me, I’ve had it before and it’s never shown this well, maybe just hitting it’s stride? Beautiful perfumed floral nose ( never thought I would say that about a Dunn), exquisite balance, the fruit is slightly sweet, the tannins are fully integrated and refined, with just the right amount of acid in the finish. I would never guess mountain fruit or let alone Dunn if tasted blind. Can’t wait to try it again in a couple of years. — 8 years ago

Drinking great, but the tannins creep up on you and point out that maybe you should wait a few years before opening another. Spectacularly floral, red cherry and a mouthful of rose petals. — 9 years ago
In contrast to the Chappellet this was rocking although 5 years younger and both from Pritchard Hill. Deep dark fruits, chocolate, black cherry and some oak but very well integrated. I've never opened a Continuum that doesn't kick ass. Young but no reason to wait. — 10 years ago
Agree with those who describe the finesse in this reserve. Long open but worth the wait every time. apparently higher in sangiovese than other vintages and it works just fine. Really nice Antinori offering! — 5 years ago
Decanted for three hours and immediately described as “universally appealing”, this is not only the WOTN but my WOTY. Utterly perfect, except perhaps enjoyed ever-so-slightly too soon. Remarkable winemaking. Concentrated flavour profile of cherry, strawberry, chocolate, violets, and very minimal earthy tones. Still on the upswing and not fully mature, despite the pleasure it was. Medium plus body, medium acidity. Extremely long. Possibly the best wine I’ve tasted to date. Can’t wait to try a “good” year. — 6 years ago
Smoke meat, spice, vanilla and cherry on the nose. The taste is almost full bodied, balanced, fruit forward. Nice example of the region. Glad I bought a case. Can’t wait to see the evolution over the next decade. — 8 years ago
Will get even better with 5 years of age. Drinking beautifully now. So why wait. — 9 years ago
Unreal.
First Jamet, and am definitely a fan. This and MS Ogier are probably my two favourite Cote Rotie producers right now. Need more!
Texture, perfume, and balance - those are the key here, despite it's youth. On the nose, dark fruits (blackberry etc), flowers, meat, smoke, and oaky spice. Touch of barnyard rusticity. Juicy on the palate, sour cherries, black pepper, bunchy goodness. Youthful tannins and persistent finish. So damn tasty. Gonna wait a while for this to open up!
Update: Looking more floral and spicy after some time. A touch of VA complexity building. Feel like it'll have a lot to offer as it ages. — 9 years ago

This is on point and if you have any, do enjoy. Gorgeous aromatics and the palate has that glorious mouth filling black cherry, perfect acid balance, and tannins that provide structure. Lovely finish. Yes, it could last for years, but I wouldn't necessarily wait if I had any more. My last bottle and the best one. — 10 years ago

Can't wait to enjoy more of this. Thanks for a great visit, Silver Oak team — 3 years ago
