Bruised mackintosh apples, depth, tart green acid, balanced finish — 9 years ago
I'm in love. With this woman and this cidra — 9 years ago
This 1989 is still very dark and young, and I am glad that we gave it an hour and a half to air in the decanter. The nose shows off the purity and power of Cabernet Sauvignon from this hallowed area with some of the best dark cassis aromas that I have smelled. In the mouth, the wine is medium bodied, with great texture that has the potential to get even better with more time. The tannins are firm and the acidity fresh- I was very happy to have thick slices of marbled, prime New York steak to act as a foil to this big wine. Our bottle was also layered and complex with a nod to Pauillac showing through in pencil lead hints. Best of all it was super easy to drink despite its size and complexity; a virtue that only wines of great breed have. — 9 years ago
Vintage had early frost damage but still managed an above average yield by virtue of a second flowering in a long, hot summer. "For 45 years I have lived in Champagne and never have I seen such a year," said Claude Taittinger .... — 9 years ago
This bottle was disgorged in 2012 and based on either 2007 or 2008. Creamy and light at once, this bottle illustrated the virtue of aging good NV Champagne on the cork for a few years if you are lucky enough to have the space! So good! — 9 years ago
Very ripe apple flavored, full-bodied English cider made by coop of Thomas Oliver and Virtue. Strong barn notes--horses, yeast and wood, mixed with honey and cheese. Medium dry with tons of tannin. — 11 years ago
Very much in the mold of 08. Fairly reduced, but it does blow off. Crunchy just-underripe Boysenberries, loamy humus, and wet greens of the kind that might grow between the row. Nice villages the primary virtue of which is delicious drink ability, and the secondary is just typicity. It's so Burgundy. — 8 years ago
Patience is a virtue, but this is drinking so well. In 3-5 years it's gonna knock your socks off! — 8 years ago
Huge, Powerful, Inky black & blue, Blackberry fruit flavors, and lavender fragrant. Patience is a virtue, but not this time. Loved it to the last drop. — 9 years ago
Delicious and dry. — 9 years ago
2007- drinking sublimely. Perfection. Patience is a virtue. #delectableapp — 9 years ago
Young and closed. Lots of potential, but too young to truly appreciate. Good but not great at this point. Patience is definitely a virtue. — 9 years ago
Classic aged Rioja- pale dusky garnet with good levels of ripe red fruit still detectable. The structure of the wine is balanced and its okay roundness supported by a nervy acidity that has lasted well. The finish is full, long and delightful. Reminds us that patience is indeed a virtue. — 10 years ago
Opened too young, but sometimes impatience is a virtue. Will soften great with time, sure, but delicious when decanted now... — 10 years ago
Patience is a virtue with this fella. Let him breathe. — 11 years ago

Patience is a virtue with this wine. Takes a while to open up. #arnotroberts — 9 years ago
A poignant yet palatable reminder that patience is a virtue I do not yet possess. — 9 years ago
Lay down an average mid price Cali cab for 15 years--patience is a virtue — 9 years ago
The barrel is all in the nose, almost smells like a Chardonnay actually. Crisp, lightly effervescent with a solid structure. Minor acids. — 9 years ago
The St. Estephe's of 1996 have impressed me since release. It is hard to believe they are 19 this year. This Meyney is young for its age and has the claret virtue of refreshing easiness. It also has superb curranty fruit and no shortage of complexity- and it doesn't need bulk to make it complete. The Meyney was great with our super savory Kobe Fred Steaks! — 9 years ago
I drank it young...patience is a virtue. Flavors of green apples and oak. — 10 years ago
#Magnums of #German #Riesling are a unique experience and always a treat by virtue of their relative scarcity as compared with other fine #wine regions of the world...but when it's a mag of any '97 von Schubert fasten your seat belt--you're in for quite a wild & wonderful ride! #Abtsberg — 10 years ago
Nouveau madness! — 10 years ago

Citrus blossom and honeysuckle nose. Honeyed pineapple, tropical fruits and buttered toast on the palate. Rich, opulent and full bodied. Stunning texture, and I'm all about texture in these SQN white blends. Simple mouth-coating greatness. Endless finish. It might be heresy, but I love these SQN whites as much, if not more, than Manfred's reds. Patience is a virtue. They just keep getting better with time. Sadly, my last. Any sellers out there? — 8 years ago
