Quite nice orange — 2 years ago
From 0,375l.
So unique, so rare. Equally thick, concentrated and complex.
What a privilege to savour this elixir.
Dark nuances of dried fruit (dates, raisins), mocha, spicebox, orange marmelade, earlgrey tea and honeysuckle.
Endless finish....
Heartwarming and humbling...
A wine for contemplation. — 5 years ago
Pale ruby in color; raspberries, strawberries, and hibiscus on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like red currants, pomegranates, and crushed gravel with a long finish. Refreshing and complex. My first schiava. I like this wine. — 6 months ago
Back label on this 2021 bottling identifies Saint Laurent as the varietal and claims "the wine is part of the project 'Primi Vini' for grapes that ripen early, enabling the wine to be put on the market earlier. I don't know if this means it is a Nouveau style/carbonic maceration or just refers to the precociousness of the variety.
Inky purple. Boisterously fruity nose with a crushable balance that invites another sip. YUM. — 2 years ago
Decanted for 3 hours. Opens with ripe blackberries and black cherries accented by forest floor and some cocoa, hint of floral notes. Has held onto its acidity. Tannins softened and nicely integrated. Beautifully structured. Long fruit finish. Outstanding. — 5 years ago
Lunch at served the Reserve vs regular. That classic nose of steely stone fruits of northern Pinot but rounded balanced profile that Carrie’s through to palate with long finish. Very nice. Vino lunch before climb — a year ago
