Just yum. Tastes like a baby Brunello. — 10 years ago
Nearly shed a tear. The aroma is fresh spruce, mint, and fresh wintergreen tobacco. Certainly a supper, a really cool treat. — 10 years ago

This was a really tasty wine. Nobile di Montepulciano is a new favorite variety. — 11 years ago
deep, ripe and minty on the nose, with berry power foretelling a pure, lush palate that’s packed with berry flavors and light herbal shadings. Impressive and super tasty, especially given the price of $8 at Fresh Market. — 12 years ago

A nice earthy red. Hit the spot with a Roman cacio e pepe pasta and rosemary lamb. — 10 years ago
Botte 47. Phenomenally complex and constantly evolving. Initially savory with some animal fur, toasty honey (aged semillon) notes, slight star fruit. Then it evolved into dried flowers, mushroom, and dark fruit - reminded me of a young Barolo. Then black tea, green tea. Then strong dried spearmint, honeyed toasty complexity like the '81 Lopez de Heredia. Medium bodied with slightly elevated sparkling acidity. Not intense, but persistent on the palate. To borrow a phrase from Veronelli- It burrowed into my memory. I hope it made me forever better. — 10 years ago
Peppery, gamey meat notes upon opening, reminiscent of a Rhone syrah. Black fruits like plum and blackberry on the palate, medium/light, smooth with a medium finish. — 10 years ago

Smooth upfront with a burst in the middle on the roof of your mouth of dark fruit berries. Soft delicate finish. — 12 years ago

Beautiful ruby in color with a light ruby rim. Doesn't seem to show aging at all.
Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, unripe plums, oak, vanilla, licorice, strawberries, spices, chocolates, smoke, peppermint, red candy, light vegetables, coffee, bell pepper, tobacco, earth, pencil lead, peppercorn and leather.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry and tart on the palate with strawberries, raspberries, oak, licorice, spices, earth, leather, almonds, cherries, spices, bell pepper, tobacco, beef jerky and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins, black pepper and tart cherries.
This 9 year old Spanish red is still young and needs another 2 to 4 years in the bottle, but drinks well now.
Very nice by itself, with nice complexity. A great wine with food, with a nice mouthfeel and bright acidity.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly. Robert Parker gave it 94 points. I Don't know about that...
A blend of 30% Syrah, 20% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.

Was gifted a 2011 and loved it. Lovely medium bodied heavy berry. Don't normally drink Aust. But love this one. Superb label design as well. — 10 years ago
Big bold red with great balance of fruit and smooth tannins. Lovely with food or without. Easily a bottle you could drink alone and love every drop so buy more than one. — 10 years ago
This 2005 Nobile di Montepulciano is a perfect example of classic earthy Sangiovese, with loads of sour cherry and tobacco. — 11 years ago
