Melon and minerals from Viura grape. Good with salmon - doesn’t overwhelm it. August 2023. — 9 months ago

Aurora Vineyard Chardonnay 2014

9.5

Great wine but be aware that it’s still very young. Not a typical Ponzi single vineyard Chardonnay, it’s still strong, greasy, reductive aroma and flavors are reminiscent of many a modern Cote de Beaune. Powerful, complex, detailed, earthy. Decant and aerate if drinking now but better still to cellar at least another 5 years. I’m projecting it will age gracefully for 25 years or more. — 4 years ago

Cune Organic Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2022

Blend of 60% Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano, aged for six months in oak, deep Ruby color with aromas of fruit, floral and herb notes as Garnacha is taking lead. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with licorice and herbs. Fine chalky tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, herb and mineral character. — 5 months ago

This wine is so good—need to get my hands on some more. Waxy, vibrant, lemon curd, apricot, white flowers, seashell, smoke. Chablis by way of the Mediterranean — 10 months ago

Reserva Cune Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2017

Cherry, chocolate and blackberry, good acid with a vanilla sweetness and dark roast quality. An oaky style, but plenty of quality for the dollar. — 2 years ago

Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2010

Vintage 2010 / we drank a glass in the evening, and now for sunday’s lunch, so with hours aeration. Só much fruit in smell, a real good balance, elegance and refinement. / Paired with venison, small potatoes, chanterelles and snow peas — 5 years ago

Tierra de Mallorca Callet 2015

Pale, plum juice like color, with a deep cranberry hue towards the center. A surprisingly light body, with candied red fruit on the nose, maybe fruit-roll-up gummies or apricot chew, maybe some hibiscus candy. Spicy palate, with some nice acidic red fruit, cranberry, slightly gripping tannins towards the end, with a very dry, short, slightly mineral finish, with somewhat a refreshing end. Loves a nice chill, easy drinking. I can imagine sitting with a chilled glass of this overlooking the sea. — 8 months ago

Crianza Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2019

We’ve seen this wine at several places in Spain but this is our first time to try it. Very enjoyable especially at the restaurant price of 14,95€…better than lots of the 20€+ wines we’ve been trying at restaurants. — a year ago

Great choice with a good steak. Starts off a bit dry but opens up nicely with some air. A bit musty with ripe cherries, and a hint of dark chocolate. — 3 years ago
