Floral notes, tangerine/orange bubblegum at first. Develops fennel and grass notes, with the orange rind persisting. Good minerality. A really unique and fascinating wine from a white grape we never heard of before. — 8 years ago

Amazing 2010 bottle from Montalcino — 7 years ago
Still a robust expression of my favorite indigenous Italian varietal. The venti cinque is sagrantino on steroids. Chewy bitter cocoa, Carmel, dried cherries and a hint of eucalyptus and anise. An hour plus of decant and a messy cork but what a cellar treat. Still miles and miles to go. — 8 years ago
