Light red, alittle bitter on the finish — 5 years ago
— 7 years ago
Authentic, old-school, old-world aromas, no new oak to curb its energy. Chewy tannins, it could only be from the Douro. The fruit is little simple and shallow, just short of being excellent, but its honesty and modesty make it more appealing than many of the more ambitious/pretentious Douro reds. — 7 years ago

Opened 375ml bottle. Made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca by blending wines that are matured for a minimum of 10 years. Nice topaz color with gentle sweet aromas of spice and almonds. On the palate dried red fruit flavors, well balanced with lively acidity, very fresh taste. Lingering finish ending with pleasant oak and honey tones. One of the best 10 year Tawny's I have tasted. The 375ml was a perfect size. — 7 years ago

Wow. Cannot beat this gamey, rustic, bright, fresh red...many things in one! And, it has 8 different varieties of local grapes. A blend of 25.5% Touriga Franca, 22.5% Tinta Roriz, 16.5% Tinta Amarela, 10.5% Tinta Barroca, 8.5% Tinto Cao, 8% Sousao, 6.5% Tinta Francisca and 2% Touriga Nacional from Baixo Corgo and Cima Corgo, Douro, Portugal. For $9 you cannot beat it. Thanks @k&L — 8 years ago

A bit chewy, but seeing as its fluid and has these cherries and tar vibe it’s like drinking good Nebbiolo for less. Fun. — 4 years ago
