We bought this wine when we visited the winery in Sancerre. Beautiful dessert wine. Late harvest Sauvignon Blanc from a cool climate. Fresh flowers with a chalky note on the nose. Inviting golden honey notes, but sweetness is restrained compared to a Sauternes. Golden raisin, vein of minerality, with great balance. — 6 years ago
Sacré glouglou, la bouteille semble toujours trop petite — 7 years ago
Oxidative, burnt orange colour. Strong honeysuckle, light petrol nose. Thin viscosity. Sweet, orange peel, strawberry (??) tang on the front of the tongue — 7 years ago

Drank over two days. Closed up to start and also very loyal to this producer’s style who picks very late. Powerful bodied and extracted but opens up with dark fruit, some spices, structure and powerful tannins that start to soften up. A nice bottle, but now very expensive for what it delivers and a style I now appreciate less and less. 89-90
— 5 years ago
Yesterday’s Wednesday Wine Committee, hosted by @Jeff Meyer , was so educational with fantastic German & Austrian wines. 1 sparkler, 5 whites, 5 reds, 1 dessert wine. All served blind as usual.
So delicious. Almost Sauternes like. Plenty of orange marmalade and honeyed fruits, but there isn’t that distinct nuttiness/roasted nut characteristic. Lychee, twice baked peaches yet very light and nimble. Long finish. I actually guessed this Tokaji. — 6 years ago
Sol schisteux, calcaire, roche emmagasine la chaleur, 25ho litre/hectare. Vendange manuelle grain par grain. 15€. Vinification en cuve béton. Gras/l'alarme/densité. Odeur Sous bois, faugiere, champignon, café. Vin structuré. Des tannins. Opulence en bouche. Livre cannelle en bouche. Puissance !!! Épicé. Viande rouge en sauce. Lapin/civé en sauce. Vin Équilibré. Vin atypique. Pas pour tout le monde. — 7 years ago

New Years part 1: a bit more muscular than typical Fleurie — 7 years ago
Jag gillade det. Smakar choklad och ska tydligen passa till choklad. — 8 years ago
1988 very youthful nose; suggests a bright future. Lily bulb and Caramelized sugar (duh), but offers greater complexity with air time. Modest sweetness, moderate complexity; while very long, palate less interesting than nose. — 9 years ago
The Tardive really is an uptick in depth though this is such kick ass Beaujolais I’ve always felt it deserves its own category (Kick A- Beaujo). Black cherries, but seriously black, oodles of fruit but it’s the minerality & acid that sets it apart, along w the depth. Medium bodied, taut( not tight somehow). Ribena with cracked black pepper nose. Blind tasting w friends but guessed to be every region but Beaujo. If I remember the history right, this is more of a Moulin Vent property, so makes some sense it has such gravitas- which is what it is, a joyous wine with gravitas. Dressner importer. Oh, and it’s ok to try now, it’s not infanticide. 25$ on sale- that’s just stupid. — 6 years ago

Wine estate : Louis Bovard
Designation : Lavaux
Name : Salix - Chenin Blanc
Country : Switzerland
Vivino : 4.5/5
Note : Louis Bovard makes bio-dynamic culture and has introduced in the Lavaux new grape varieties such as Chenin Blanc. The name of Salix comes from the Latin word meaning the willow, with which one braided the branches to make baskets of vintage. A golden yellow straw robe with a nose of citrus, pineapple and mineral. Once in the mouth, the explosion of flavor with a nice acidity and a taste of citrus and apple. The final is excellent, it remains in the mouth and perfectly accompanied a fish.
