Very reticent nose. Majestic tannins. Layer upon layer of fruit, spice, meat, minerals. Dense and demanding. Pure and profound. A unicorn that deserves its wings. — 5 years ago
How do you rate a unicorn? Amazing grounds, amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing people... a timeless wine that I was allowed to taste in the comfort of friends. 10+ thanks — 6 years ago
Unicorn Wednesday! Ethereal, soft, beautiful, bing cherry, sweet flowers, marzipan?, mild fall leaves, smooth very fine tannins but they grip, good acidic backbone, everything in harmony, nothing unbalanced. First try of the '13s, can't wait to see where these go in the future...thanks @Noah Raizman — 8 years ago
Bottle no 14 of 310. A true unicorn wine. Final vintage. RIP Maison des Joncs. — 5 years ago
Unicorn white Bordeaux. The smell of green peppers blew off and this wine revealed minerality and complexity..... Affordable for a few more years..'m but not many. — 8 years ago

Bit of a unicorn 🦄. Pre-Phylloxera vines from 1902! The nose is like smelling a bowl of fresh raspberries. Ridiculously dense and chewy on the palate with black raspberries and raspberry coulis giving way to cracked granite, limestone, dry earth and savory herbs. Nice grip. This needed about an hour decant to really show. — 5 years ago
