Excellent. Sweet but not overbearing. — 9 years ago
Popped 1 of my 3 bottles to celebrate two friends turning 50 at Factory Kitchen. 50 year old California Cab with finesse, balance, and though I wouldn't expect it to improve over time, it was fantastic and quintessential old school cab from without a doubt one of my favorite California producers. Just lovely! — 9 years ago
Fresh grapefruit, melted bakers chocolate with undisolved sugar, rind of plum and BlackBerry (if they had rinds). Blueberry when I swallow.
Later, it's turning into sugarless cold brownies with blueberry jam
I don't taste any yellow or green, only black, purple, Brown and hints of red.

Pretty good. $9 — 12 years ago
Initial noise of clove, rosemary and lavender turning to sweet smokey BBQ meat. Black and blueberry attack with a stemmy finish. Missing the chocolate I tasted in the last bottle. Very enjoyable!Apologies for the wrecked label... Incompatible rack/bottle sizes. — 9 years ago
Smooth flavor, fruity, sweet but not too sweet — 9 years ago
Really nice bottle before Arif heads to Turkey for 3 weeks! — 10 years ago
Not bad! Deep ruby color. Nose starts with earth dried violets bit of smoke and bacon fat with black cherry and strawberry core. Same silky fruit on palate turning savory on the finish. Good buy for $17 — 10 years ago

"1983 (A Merman I Should Turn To Be)"
so my darling and I
make love in the sand
to salute the last moment
ever on dry land
our machine has done its work
played its part well
without a scratch on our bodies
and we bid it farewell
starfish and giant foams
greet us with a smile
before our heads go under
we take a last look
at the killing noise
of the out of style...

Absolutely glorious Pinot Noir. Scorched earth mushrooms. Yummy. The toasted heads of the oak still noticeable 23 years later. An amazing effort most people will never get a chance to taste. — 10 years ago
Strawberry jam vibrant hint of anise and flowers. Almost lavender. Smooth with medium finish. Ruby red turning to pink at the edge. — 10 years ago
Having had this one a few times (2012,14), this is one is really finding a nice balance with more time. Fruit is turning away from Pom/Cran toward soft cherry/rasp...medium body and length, this still has nice tannin structure. One bottle remains - Costco $22 — 10 years ago
2001. 1h decant. Awesome plum, blackberry, cedar, cigar box, soy and balsamic, currants and crushed stones. Good lively acidity with good tannins. Good place now, drink up before this heads for the geriatric ward and limps into old age. big time value play. — 10 years ago
Starts very strong, feels sharp and concentrated in the mouth. Quickly opens up, turning into a very drinkable red wine. Good fruit flavor, blackberry and mild cherry. — 11 years ago
Very smooth initial flavor. Light bodied plummy that fills the nose with red berries after swallowing. More intense after it breathes. — 11 years ago
Really inexpensive grocery brand but crisp and light — 12 years ago
