J Rochioli River Block Chardonnay 2013
Not overly intense, ripe, oaky and buttery but rather calm and settled with a good balance of its fruits and minerality. Good surprise. Medium to full-bodied. Will revisit in a few years.
力強いフルーツ感、樽香、バタリーなカリシャルを想像していましたが、良い意味で裏切られました。フルーツとミネラルのバランスがよく素晴らしい。もう1本はもう少し寝かせてみます。

Lovely yellow hue opens up a powerful nose filled with dirt, grass, rice, and honeysuckle. The palate proceeds to get smothered with a perfect amount of oak coupled with honey and lemon. A mildly tart finish makes this the perfect summer white. Great recommendation by the local rep and Happy 4th to everyone!....a mid-dinner update....massive green apple comes through with food! — 9 years ago
Spectacular! Mind blowing. One of my top 10 of all time. On every serious wine lover’s bucket list, and here we had a nigh perfect bottle. While aromatically a little recalcitrant, you still got some of the Margaux violets and potpourri on the nose, hints of clove, all trying to shake off their doldrums. But on the palate, it was timelessly ravishing. The finesse, richness, balance and smoothness, with an underlying, almost flabbergasting mixture of complexity and delicacy, was just astonishing. The finish is marvelously sweet and intense, with chocolate and cassis and utterly seamless tannins. This is a miracle of wine making and an exaltation of vintage and terroir besides. Wow! And bravo! We can only pray for an encore of such a wine. — 10 years ago

It's SQN at a fraction of the cost. Wonderful. — 11 years ago
Yumbo, no tannins but plenty of ripe fruit, chocolate, and earthy must — 11 years ago
Lots of flavors, complex and delicious — 12 years ago
This was a vertical of 38 vintages to celebrate Joseph Phelps Insignia 40th anniversary! The 74' and 77' were the wines that came on top from the 70's vintage. — 13 years ago
Really loving this for winter or by a fire. HEAVY but has the rustic feel of South African Cab - a certain grit to it. The nose will throw you off but definitely dive into it, it’s ready to drink in the 2014 vintage already. Heavy complex - unlike a Bordeaux. — 7 years ago

Dark cherry and a dash of herbs, with a savory middle and finish, excellent concentration, and terrific with a duck breast with a beet sauce. — 7 years ago
Needs a lot of time to open. Super tight at the open. Give it some time and flavors are abundant. Deep dark fruit and finish that goes on for ever. — 8 years ago
Great drinking this wine. Before landfall of the biggest hurricane hitting America — 9 years ago
Barrel Sample. Absolutely stunning this vintage. Brilliant 2016, one of the top of the vintage. 97-99pts — 9 years ago

Probably in the top 5 wines ever drank, amazing that it's a cab, not as robust as a typical cab. Was almost like a mixture of a Bordeaux and a Barolo.
Fantastic experience, probably worth the €250 price tag. But for slightly less quality, I can find a $100 Barolo anywhere... — 12 years ago
PNP > @Mike Smith , My last bottle & hogging it all to myself! Fabulous purity, concentration, gobs of glycerin, smooth integrated tannins, long finish. Kudos, you really killed this wine from Coliseum Block Vineyard in 2012! Has this Vineyard been replanted from the Napa fire that destroyed it? If yes, will you have access to the fruit in the future? Thanks for making such a great wine! Congratulations again on this wine! 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Cheers 🍇🍷 — 7 years ago
Fairly fruity on the nose. Hint of black pepper and something earthy/mineral. Flavor is very dry. Dried strawberries and red vines. Classic jammy Zin thing. Some pomegranate molasses perhaps. Fresh and zinfulliciuos. Plenty of tannin to give it more bite than Zin usually achieves. Complex. True. Enjoyable. — 7 years ago
Gorgeous purple color. Deep dark black licorice, black berries, black current and plums. Dark fruits, spice, smoky wood and a hint of cardamom. Needs to be decanted for an hour to enjoy a delicious linger of tannins. One of my favorites — 9 years ago
It's a Cabernet, Shiraz, Merlot blend. Perfume dark florals, black licorice, blackberries, blueberries & black plum on the nose. On the palate, ripe fruits of; blueberries, black berries, black cherries, black licorice, black cherry cola, violets, baked rhubarb, bitty stem inclusion & soft leather. Finishes dark cassis and high acidity. — 9 years ago
This wine and its sister wine are right Two of the top Oregon pinot's. Right at the top of my list for best 2012's. Get it and enjoy it!! — 10 years ago
Some #delectable #PinotNoir from the #RussianRiver valley. Strawberry, red plum and red currant, cinnamon on the nose and palate. Definitely on the juicier side of pinot noir. — 11 years ago
Very nice cool climate Syrah, my fave. Nice fruit, but no impression of sweet. Nice tannin finish. — 12 years ago
Yea baby! I love Central Coast Pinot and this is a fantastic example. Big cherry and raspberry flavors. Hints of subtle spice, full bodied and jammy! If you don't like Melville then FU. — 12 years ago

Still too early to the party. Second time at this, still needs a few years. Oh has it changed in a year though. It’s massive. Deep nose of fruit, with silky tannins and deep black fruit on the palate. Olive and charcuterie. Round out this incredible expression of Syrah. Time will be kind but it’s limited — 6 years ago
