At Estes park with SHs. Excellent still with mature notes of darker red fruit and earthiness and secondary complex aromas. Palate that's balanced and firm body and long complex finish. — 9 years ago
Enjoyed this yummy wine on a cozy Friday night at home with my hubby. — 10 years ago

Really a very nice Chardonnay. The nose is very rich and buttery, while the wine is slightly acidic and rather floral on the tongue. It is floral and citric at the finish. Overall, very nice at $15. Maureen says "pleasant, citrusy, acidic. Not my favorite, but fine." — 11 years ago
Delish. Classic sonoma coast cran and bright cherry. If you dont know this brand. You should. — 11 years ago
Crisp, not heavy, reminds me of Cakebread Sauvignon Blanca at a lower price — 12 years ago

This was not good...it was spectacular. Was great at the winery when we bought 6 bottles a couple of years ago, and each bottle has gotten better. I just ordered another case! Esther said she thought it one of the best wines she had ever tasted. It was complex with tons of fruit while remaining subtle. Acid and tannins present, but balanced. Long, long, round finish. The kind of nose that's so good, you don't even need to drink. — 9 years ago
Remarkable evening last night at VHR sponsored tasting of the 2014 vintage VHR. Heather and Bruce (@Bruce Phillips) hosted a lovely evening for the VHR faithful popping a Shramsburg Champagne toast with heavy appetizers followed by comparison of the 2012 and new 2014 vintages. Notes for 2014: Obviously young, but the aromatics hitting the nose are alive and run the continuum of all the green leaves in your spice drawer mixed together. Heavy mouth feel with flavor from the darker end of the spectrum: licorice, dates, tobacco. Finish is long and constant. Will be interesting to see how this one changes over time. — 10 years ago

Needs to be served at the right temperature and then the flavour flows. A great affordable new world red but don't have it too cold. — 11 years ago
