I can appreciate this wine but stylistically it doesn't ring my bell. I'm pretty sure there was a waft of Bret that turned me off.

My last bottle of 2010. Excellent perfume on the nose. Citrus and apple flavors. Wish I had more.

Holy banana pancakes. So rich and smooth. Big bold CALIFORNIA can with soft tannins but with enough of. A bite to be reckoned with

91 pt Cali cabs in my book is hard to come by. This is what classifies as an amazing Napa cab. Dark but not full. Medium body. There's cherries and in dark berries with an earthy spice.

Very refined. Deep garnet color, nice legs. Black fruit on the nose. Blackberry, plum and maybe a hint of leather. Little spice on the finish. Very nice!

Have long meant to check out this producer. Finally did and was underwhelmed. Drinkable, not interesting or characterful in any way, maybe I should stop trying to pretend I'm ever gonna enjoy napa cabs.

Great Cab. Drinks very nice. Smooth, with flavors of dark berry and cedar/mahogany. Medium bodied. Will only get better with age! Buy some for the cellar.

I was worried it was too early for this to be drinkable: a two and a half hour decant before dinner was just enough time to open it up, and it kept improving even more throughout the night. Classic Bordeaux in character, this had great balance between the fruit and savory components--notes of black currant, mint, raspberry, sweet and fresh green bell pepper (but in a rich, ratatouille kind of way), fennel seed, some meaty character almost like eggplant, and sweet spice. Framed by plenty of felty tannins balanced by refreshing acidity, this had that great combo of intense flavor + elegant structure. Disclosure that I LOVE visiting this winery, but this was my first time having a bottle with a meal--couldn't ask for much more with steak, and a great contrast to the '94 st emilion we also had.
